Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain / Procurement Specialist to support utility infrastructure programs through vendor coordination, sourcing, procurement execution, and supply chain management. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting electric utility or EPC environments and who understands the complexities of material procurement, supplier communication, and project-driven delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities for utility or EPC capital projects, ensuring materials and services are sourced in alignment with project schedules and budgets
- Manage vendor relationships, RFQs, purchase orders, bid comparisons, and contract coordination across multiple suppliers
- Partner with engineering, construction, project management, and field teams to ensure procurement timelines support project execution
- Track material status, supplier performance, lead times, and delivery schedules to minimize project delays
- Support inventory planning, logistics coordination, and issue resolution related to supplier delays or shortages
- Maintain procurement records, cost tracking, and reporting within ERP or procurement management systems
- Assist with supplier negotiations, pricing evaluations, and procurement strategy development
Qualifications
- Experience supporting electric utility, transmission, distribution, substation, or EPC projects
- Background in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, purchasing, or vendor management
- Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle processes and supplier coordination
- Familiarity with ERP systems, purchasing software, or utility procurement platforms
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and procurement priorities simultaneously
