Senior Business Analyst

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to serve as a strategic partner across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership within a fast-growing, data-driven technology organization. This individual will operate at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution—translating complex business needs into structured requirements, measurable outcomes, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis \& Requirements Management

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, workflows, and performance gaps.
• Elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Maintain traceability between business objectives and delivered solutions.
• Act as liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure alignment.

Data Analysis \& Decision Support

• Analyze operational, financial, and product data to identify trends and risks.
• Build dashboards, KPIs, and executive-ready reports.
• Conduct root cause analysis and scenario modeling.
• Support forecasting, performance measurement, and resource optimization.
• Present insights with clear, actionable recommendations.

Process Improvement \& Optimization

• Document current-state and future-state processes.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend workflow or automation improvements.
• Support system implementations and cross-functional transformation initiatives.
• Define success metrics and measure post-implementation impact.
• Promote continuous improvement through data-driven practices.

Product \& Technology Collaboration

• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering on roadmap planning and prioritization.
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release activities.
• Validate solutions against business requirements.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution.
• Ensure effective integration between systems and reporting frameworks.

Stakeholder Communication

• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions.
• Develop business cases and executive presentations.
• Align cross-functional teams around shared objectives and metrics.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 6–10\+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Strategy Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience within SaaS, enterprise technology, or data-driven organizations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Proven experience writing detailed business requirements and specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Technical \& Analytical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL.
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or Power BI).
• Familiarity with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data models.
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery models.

Preferred Experience

• Background supporting Product, Engineering, Finance, or Operations teams.
• Exposure to AI-driven platforms or advanced analytics environments.
• Experience with financial modeling or revenue forecasting.
• Consulting or enterprise-scale implementation experience.
