Job Description

About the Role

Our client is seeking a process‑oriented HRIS Analyst with deep UKG experience to serve as the critical bridge between HR and IT. This role focuses on HR process optimization, workflow analysis, and ensuring that HR operations run efficiently across onboarding, recruiting, time \& attendance, and other UKG modules.

This is not a configuration-heavy role. Instead, it is ideal for someone who excels at understanding HR needs, evaluating processes, gathering requirements, and ensuring UKG is being used effectively to support HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR leaders and functional teams to evaluate, streamline, and optimize HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Serve as the liaison between HR and IT, ensuring business needs are translated into system requirements.
  • Work hands-on within UKG (HR, Time, and related modules) to support process improvements, data integrity, and workflow efficiency.
  • Analyze, document, and refine workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead requirements gathering, functional documentation, and user acceptance testing for HR system enhancements.
  • Support HR teams with onboarding, recruiting, time \& attendance, and other UKG modules.
  • Conduct data analysis and produce insights using Excel; ensure accuracy and consistency of HR data.
  • Troubleshoot issues, escalate when needed, and collaborate with IT on system-related resolutions.
  • Facilitate effective communication across HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Assist with conflict resolution related to process gaps, system usage, or cross-functional dependencies.
  • Maintain compliance and support audit activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5\+ years of HRIS, HR Operations, or HR Process Analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, IT, or related field
  • UKG experience is mandatory — ideally UKG HR and UKG Time
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, workflows, and employee lifecycle operations
  • Experience gathering requirements, testing solutions, and performing business/data analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Highly process-oriented mindset

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Power BI or other analytics tools
  • Exposure to HR reporting, dashboards, or KPI development
