Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible to support and enhance all aspects of the employee lifecycle. In addition to traditional HR responsibilities, the HR Generalist will oversee the credentialing and recredentialing of licensed and non Licensed professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, knowledge of HR best practices, and experience managing sensitive personnel and credentialing records.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Maintain recruitment records and track hiring metrics.
- Coordinate performance evaluation processes and employee development programs.
- Support managers in setting performance goals and addressing performance concerns.
- Maintain performance documentation and records. Compliance \& HR Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee files and HR databases.
- Assist with policy development, updates, and implementation.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics as required.
Credentialing \& Re-credentialing
- Manage the credentialing and recredentialing process for licensed and non licensed professionals, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirement
- Verify licenses, certifications, education, training, work history, and other required documentation.
- Maintain accurate credentialing records and databases, ensuring all credentials remain current and in good standing.
- Monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, and other required credentials, and proactively communicate renewal requirements.
- Prepare and submit credentialing applications and supporting documentation for new hires and existing professionals.
- Assist with audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance reporting related to professional credentialing.
- Serve as a resource for management and staff regarding credentialing standards, requirements, and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
- 2\+ years of experience working in Human Resources
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is preferred.
The right candidate must be comfortable with major Microsoft software including word processing, spread sheets, presentation software, social media platforms, twitter, LinkedIn, etc. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (E.G. ABLITY TO SPEAK FOREIGN LANGUAGE, LICENSE, ETC.) Bilingual ( English /Spanish and or Creole) Preferred
