Test Automation Engineer

to join a high-performing technology team within a leading South African bank. This role sits within a large-scale, enterprise

Salesforce transformation programme

**What You'll Be Doing**

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks
• Contribute to end-to-end quality assurance across the SDLC
• Perform API, UI, and integration testing across complex systems
• Implement data-driven and behaviour-driven testing approaches
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct impact analysis for system changes and enhancements
• Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders
• Mentor junior testers and contribute to testing best practices
• Support performance and security testing initiatives

Minimum Experience

• 4–5 years’ hands-on experience in automation testing
• Strong experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with API, integration, and regression testing
• Proficiency with version control (Git)
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or Software Testing

**Ideal Experience (Advantageous)**

• Exposure to Salesforce platforms
• Experience in financial services or banking environments
• Familiarity with release management practices
• ISTQB certification or equivalent
• Experience in cloud-based testing environments

**Education (Minimum)**

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Software Testing

Education (Ideal Or Preferred)

• Software Testing - Foundation Level through the International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB)
