Job Description
We are partnering with a premier, globally recognized law firm looking for their next HR leader to manage one of their core offices here in Boston. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will act as a strategic business partner to the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Business Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Talent Acquisition:
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts for both attorneys and professional staff.
- Employee Relations \& Coaching:
Serve as the primary resource for complex employee relations issues, providing expert coaching to managers on performance, policy interpretation, and disciplinary processes.
- Performance Management:
Oversee the annual review process, talent reviews, and the development of professional growth programs for associates and staff.
- Compliance \& Policy:
Manage all aspects of FMLA, STD/LTD, Worker’s Compensation, and I-9 compliance while continuously improving HR processes and procedures.
- Total Rewards Support:
Partner with leadership on compensation principles, salary recommendations, and the annual administration of bonuses for local support staff.
- Team Leadership:
Directly supervise legal support staff to ensure high-quality attorney assistance and efficient office workflows.
Qualifications:
- 10\+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services organization.
- Proven track record in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is highly preferred.
- Advanced experience with HRIS and ATS systems (preferably Workday) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to establish immediate credibility with executive management.
