Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst

Our client is looking for a skilled Financial Planning \& Decision Support Analyst to join their finance team and contribute to strategic and operational decision-making within a healthcare environment. This role plays a critical part in financial planning, reporting, and process optimization while partnering closely with cross-functional teams.
Role Overview
In this position, the selected candidate will collaborate with finance and operational teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning initiatives. The role involves delivering actionable financial insights, supporting strategic projects, and improving efficiency across financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with decision support and finance teams to align financial analysis with related functions such as reporting and operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processes, and implement improvements
- Develop and deliver accurate financial and statistical reports for internal stakeholders as well as external entities including regulatory bodies, auditors, and financial partners
- Handle complex ad hoc reporting requests and provide insights to support business needs
- Contribute as a finance representative in organizational strategic initiatives and projects
- Lead key projects within the finance division to drive business outcomes
- Support oversight and coordination of accounting activities, including reviewing team outputs
- Maintain in-depth expertise in specialized areas of healthcare finance and accounting
- Improve operational efficiency by implementing automation, streamlining processes, and minimizing duplication of effort
- Coordinate data requirements across teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field with an accounting focus
- 4–7 years of experience in accounting or a related discipline
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning
- 2–4 years of experience in an acute care healthcare setting or supporting healthcare clients
Preferred Skills \& Expertise
- Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, including consolidations and eliminations
- Familiarity with hospital operations and financial workflows within healthcare environments
- Proficiency in financial planning and analysis tools and systems
- Advanced Excel skills and strong command of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with financial planning systems such as Axiom is advantageous
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
