$52,000 – $66,500 per year

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • May require extended hours during travel periods (January–July)

Overview

We are seeking a full-time, proactive, and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join our Information Technology (IT) team. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization’s IT systems and infrastructure.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is curious about emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools and automation.

Travel Requirement

  • Travel required approximately 2 months per year (January–July)
  • Locations include Dallas, Atlanta, and Las Vegas
  • Travel is primarily for trade shows and on-site event support

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues in a timely manner
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, systems, and applications
  • Train and support employees on IT tools and best practices
  • Assist with IT equipment procurement and setup
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
  • Support system upgrades, deployments, and ongoing improvements
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements
  • Respond to incidents and minimize downtime
  • Research and recommend new technologies and solutions
  • Support trade show and event IT setups and operations
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Assist with IT automation projects and system rollouts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical support, helpdesk, or a similar IT role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Comfortable using and learning new technologies, including AI-assisted tools
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods (up to \~2 months annually)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a multi-user helpdesk or frontline support environment
  • Strong communicator who enjoys helping others and can explain technical concepts clearly
  • Ability to quickly build trust with non-technical users
  • Demonstrated ownership of issues through full resolution
  • Experience supporting live events or trade shows
  • Exposure to IT automation tools, scripting, or workflow improvements
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) systems

Pay: $52,000\.00 - $66,500\.00 per year
