Overview
We are seeking a full-time, proactive, and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join our Information Technology (IT) team. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization’s IT systems and infrastructure.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is curious about emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools and automation.
Travel Requirement
- Travel required approximately 2 months per year (January–July)
- Locations include Dallas, Atlanta, and Las Vegas
- Travel is primarily for trade shows and on-site event support
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues in a timely manner
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, systems, and applications
- Train and support employees on IT tools and best practices
- Assist with IT equipment procurement and setup
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
- Support system upgrades, deployments, and ongoing improvements
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and compliance requirements
- Respond to incidents and minimize downtime
- Research and recommend new technologies and solutions
- Support trade show and event IT setups and operations
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Assist with IT automation projects and system rollouts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in technical support, helpdesk, or a similar IT role
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Comfortable using and learning new technologies, including AI-assisted tools
- Willingness to travel for extended periods (up to \~2 months annually)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-user helpdesk or frontline support environment
- Strong communicator who enjoys helping others and can explain technical concepts clearly
- Ability to quickly build trust with non-technical users
- Demonstrated ownership of issues through full resolution
- Experience supporting live events or trade shows
- Exposure to IT automation tools, scripting, or workflow improvements
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) systems
Pay: $52,000\.00 - $66,500\.00 per year
