Job Description

The Role

You turn business problems into shipped product.

You are not an engineer who waits for a Jira ticket.

You are not a PM who writes specs for someone else to build.

You hear "our checkout drop-off is 40%," and by Friday there's a deployed fix with metrics proving it worked.

You operate across the full stack — frontend, backend, database, API — using AI coding tools to move at 3-5x normal speed. You have enough product sense to build the

right

thing and enough design sense to make it not ugly. You communicate what you're doing so the team can keep up.

About Drip

Drip is an AI-native social commerce marketplace for passionate communities, starting with collectibles. We power live streaming, digital packs, and other community-based commerce mechanics — for our own marketplace and for some of the leading brands in the collectibles hobby. We've been growing 30%\+ per month for the last 6 months \& profitable. Backed by Base10, Eniac Ventures, Kindred Ventures, and Harlem Capital.

What You'll Do

Week-to-week:

  • Own features end-to-end — from understanding the problem to deploying the solution
  • Build across React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL — wherever the feature needs you
  • Use Cursor, Claude Code, and AI tools as your default development mode
  • Ship to production multiple times per week with confidence
  • Instrument what you build — you define the success metric before writing code

Day-to-day:

  • Read support tickets and user feedback to understand what's broken or missing
  • Take loosely-defined problems from the founder and turn them into working software
  • Post what you shipped, flag what's blocked, ask for feedback when you need it
  • Review teammates' code — you care about quality across the team, not just your PRs
  • Use the design system components — you don't need pixel-perfect taste, but the UI has to be clean

What Great Looks Like

  • Monday: founder says "users are confused about buyback pricing"
  • Tuesday: you dig into support tickets, watch 3 user sessions, identify the UX gap
  • Wednesday-Thursday: build a redesigned buyback flow with clearer pricing, test it
  • Friday: deploy with an A/B test, set up the dashboard to track conversion
  • Following Monday: "buyback conversion up 18%, shipping to 100%"

That's one week. You do this every week.

Expected Skills

Must have:

  • React, TypeScript, Node.js, SQL — genuine full-stack fluency, not "I've touched it once"
  • AI-assisted development — Cursor, Claude Code, or similar is part of your workflow already
  • Product sense — you have opinions about what users need, not just how to implement specs
  • Async communication — you write clearly, post updates, document decisions
  • Comfort with ambiguity — you can take a vague problem and figure out the right solution

Strong plus:

  • Experience at an early-stage startup where you wore multiple hats
  • Payments integration (Stripe, crypto wallets)
  • Real-time systems (WebSockets, live video)
  • Mobile development (React Native or native iOS/Android)
  • You've shipped a side project or product of your own

How You'll Be Measured

  • Features shipped to production per week
  • Business impact of features (revenue, conversion, retention)
  • Code quality and system reliability
  • Communication and team collaboration
  • Speed from problem identification to deployed solution

Compensation

Competitive salary \+ equity. DripShop is profitable and growing 30%\+ MoM.
