Job Description

Field Application Scientist (Remote)

We are looking for a field application scientist with a strong cell biology background to support our existing customer base and nurture commercial growth in North America (primarily USA, Canada). The position is field based with travel across NA as required but will also include periods of remote home working.

The Field Application Scientist will be responsible for:

  • Developing expert knowledge of relevant hardware, software and applications
  • Supporting the sales team by scientifically assessing and executing demonstrations at prospective customer sites
  • Providing new and existing user training
  • Assisting current and future customers in developing workflows using our technology
  • Proactively communicate with Product Applications, Sales, Service and Marketing to ensure customer success and satisfaction.
  • Participating in product training and continuing education on new applications to stay on the cutting edge of scientific technology.
  • Attending relevant conferences, seminars and tradeshows
  • Giving presentations at customer sites or remotely
  • Ensuring the company CRM is up to date
  • Initial Travel 75%

Must have:

  • 2\+ years FAS or customer-facing experience in cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field
  • Bench experience with a variety of cell culture models (2D and 3D, stem cells etc.) and cell-based assay development
  • Confident scientific communicator with strong customer orientation
  • Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites for demonstrations, training, and customer support
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Additional desirable areas of expertise:

  • Ph.D. highly desired with Immunology focus
  • Deep understanding of and hands-on experience with antibody discovery workflows, including antigen-specific B-cell screening, hybridoma development, recombinant antibody expression, and protein production, gained through academic, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical research.
  • Next generation sequencing
  • Fluorescence imaging and analysis
  • Flow cytometry
  • Single-cell applications
  • Advanced cell biology models (primary, iPSCs, T-cells etc.)
