Job Description

Position Information

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support to the psychiatry \& neuroscience department and other clinical departments as needed. Collaborating with the Finance and Administrative Officer (FAO), the incumbent will assist in review of budgets, conduct reconciliation activities, understand and apply accounting principles and university policies to work to support accuracy of financial data for the department and complete financial transactions. The full salary range for the Financial Analyst is $33\.92 - $49\.61 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

  • Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information, organizes, and performs basic financial analysis assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
