About the Role
As the
Manager – Procurement (Capex \& Spare Parts)
, you will oversee all procurement activities related to capital equipment and spare parts. You will develop sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, manage suppliers, and ensure the timely availability of high‑quality equipment that drives operational efficiency.
This is a strategic leadership position where you’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute directly to major Capex projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement \& Sourcing
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Capex equipment and spare parts.
- Identify, assess, and select suppliers based on capability, quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Lead high‑value contract negotiations and secure favorable terms.
- Monitor market trends and technological advancements to support informed decision‑making.
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (quality, cost, delivery).
- Drive continuous improvement and resolve supplier-related issues efficiently.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and project teams to align procurement plans with business needs.
- Support Capex project execution by ensuring timely delivery and specification compliance.
Leadership \& People Management
- Lead and mentor a team comprising Team Leaders and Procurement Specialists.
- Set clear performance objectives and foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and accountability.
Compliance \& Governance
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, governance standards, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to process optimization, reporting accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications \& Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Master’s degree is an advantage.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Strong experience with Capex sourcing and spare parts procurement.
- Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar sourcing systems.
