Job Description
Role Overview
We are engaged on behalf of a confidential client — a venture-backed, Austin-based technology company operating at the intersection of neuroscience, biosensing, and adaptive performance systems. They are seeking a senior product leader to own the end-to-end delivery of a biosensing-driven adaptive training platform initially focused on enterprise and high-performance use cases.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a systems thinker who thrives at the intersection of physiology, technology, and human experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that biosignals, training logic, and user experience come together into a coherent, field-ready system that delivers measurable outcomes in real-world deployments.
What You'll Do
Design Adaptive Training Systems
- Design structured training programs that develop autonomic regulation and cognitive efficiency skills
- Define session structure, progression logic, and intensity scaling across the training lifecycle
- Ensure programs are behaviorally grounded and designed to build durable skill capacity — not just short-term state shifts
- Align program design with clearly defined client use cases and measurable performance objectives
Define Real-Time Feedback \& Adaptation Logic
- Define how biosignals (EEG, HRV, PPG, etc.) drive real-time feedback and system adaptation
- Establish thresholds, adaptation rules, and behavioral guardrails that reinforce true physiological regulation
- Ensure feedback supports skill development and behavioral transfer beyond the session
- Partner with research and engineering to ensure accurate implementation and real-time feasibility
Own the End-to-End Product Experience
- Ensure the full product suite operates as a coherent system — from training execution to data capture to client-facing reporting
- Define requirements across immersive training environments, supporting applications, and enterprise-facing tools
- Define what constitutes deployment-ready performance for pilots and enterprise clients
- Review system flows across all product surfaces to ensure consistency, reliability, and clarity
Drive Cross-Functional Execution
- Translate training architecture into clear product requirements and acceptance criteria tied to client outcomes
- Align engineering, research, hardware, and design teams on scope and release priorities
- Make tradeoff decisions when technical or physiological constraints arise
- Hold teams accountable to shipping stable, repeatable, enterprise-grade releases
- Work closely with early enterprise clients and incorporate real-world deployment feedback into product decisions
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- 8–12\+ years in product roles delivering complex, integrated systems (hardware \+ software, wearables, sensing platforms, medical devices, defense, or performance training systems)
- Proven ownership of end-to-end product delivery — not just roadmaps or feature definition
- Experience defining and delivering training systems, adaptive workflows, or behavior-shaping products
- Direct experience leading or owning UX research: defining research questions, selecting methods, and translating insights into product decisions
- Deep cross-functional experience working with engineering, hardware, research, and design teams
- Experience with biosensing or physiological signal-based products (EEG, HRV, PPG, or similar wearable platforms)
- Comfort being client-facing and incorporating real-world feedback into product decisions
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with AI- or ML-driven systems, particularly where models inform real-time adaptation, decision-making, or personalization
- Experience building or partnering on adaptive systems, intelligent agents, or closed-loop AI workflows
- Exposure to environments where reliability, repeatability, and outcomes matter more than polish
- Familiarity with validation, QA, human factors, or regulated-adjacent product development
- Experience conducting or supporting field research, pilots, or real-world deployments
Skills \& Traits
- Outcome-driven and execution-oriented — you move things forward with momentum and care
- Strong systems thinker who can hold complexity and create clarity across data, AI, and human experience
- Clear, direct communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
- Pragmatic and decisive — grounded in real-world constraints
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity, but unwilling to ship fragile, unvalidated, or incoherent systems
- Emotionally steady and resilient under startup pressure and shifting priorities
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to own the full product experience for a genuinely novel platform — one that fuses cutting-edge biosensing, neuroscience-backed training methodology, and enterprise-grade delivery. You won't be maintaining a roadmap. You'll be shaping a system that doesn't fully exist yet, working alongside a focused, high-caliber team that is deeply committed to real-world outcomes.
If you have built products where the signal quality, the training logic, and the human experience all had to work together — and you want to do it again at a meaningful scale — we'd love to hear from you.
