As our new Senior Product Designer, you'll lead and execute product initiatives from concept to UI, bringing a user-focused mentality to everything you ship. You'll work with a high level of autonomy: designing features, managing stakeholders, collaborating across teams, providing UX guidance, and occasionally stepping in to own a project end to end. The ideal Kinsta Senior Product Designer is a strong craftsperson, a confident decision-maker, curious, collaborative, and self-motivated.

What You'll Do:

• Carry out design projects of any scale independently — from small product improvements to strategic-level new product capabilities — owning the entire process from initial concept and scoping, through user flows and production UI, to release support and post-release follow-up.
• Collaborate in the discovery process for new features: identifying what we need to build to address specific problems and user needs, and analyzing competitors and best practices for standards and inspiration.
• Work closely with Research (requesting research and applying insights), Product Management (aligning business requirements and delivery), and Development (aligning design decisions and technological feasibility) to deliver the right solution.
• Create clear specifications so design intent and functionality are unambiguous for other crafts, and conduct QA from the Design side to validate implementation against the design intent and the Kinsta Design System.
• Provide clear rationales for design decisions, exercise judgment to resolve design and product deadlocks, and proactively escalate when feedback, validation, or mediation is needed.
• Manage stakeholders throughout execution: align early, request reviews when necessary, and proactively showcase progress.
• Prioritize personal and project tasks so Design is never a bottleneck; when resources are constrained, align priorities with company objectives and communicate trade-offs.
• Serve as Project Owner on occasion. At Kinsta, we don't have full-time Project Managers — a team member leads each project as Owner, defining scope, facilitating prioritization, communicating progress, aligning the internal team, and coordinating releases.
• Act as a craft leader, consultant, and mentor for design at Kinsta: uphold professional standards in design thinking, insight-based problem solving, usability, UX, and UI; give critical feedback and design critique to peers; and help maintain and improve the Kinsta Design System for MyKinsta and associated tools.
• Become a product expert — knowing how our product works, the personas and use cases we support, and how that translates into UI-level design solutions — while staying current with the methods and tooling of the craft and using them to enhance Kinsta's workflows, systems, and processes.

What You Bring To The Role:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Product or UX Designer.
• Demonstrated experience shipping products and features from zero to production, with the ability to deliver a project fully autonomously.
• SaaS product experience.
• Cross-functional experience collaborating with teams such as Research, Product Management, and Development.
• Hands-on experience across all elements of the design workflow: research, need-finding, problem definition, ideation, facilitation, and creating UI.
• Expert-level proficiency with Figma, our primary design delivery tool.
• Experience working with and maintaining a design system.
• A portfolio that demonstrates your design rationale, including at least one case study showing the problem statement, your process, and the solution — not just images or a general workflow description.
• Strong reasoning for your design solutions: you can clearly articulate the "why" behind your decisions.
• A good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS).
• Proactivity: you take the initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.
• Professional-level English with excellent written communication skills.

Bonus if you have:

• Hosting or web infrastructure experience.
• Experience with technical products where the audience is developers or technology-oriented users.
• WordPress experience.
