About the Role

A rapidly scaling fintech team is seeking a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to own the design, automation, and reliability of core infrastructure supporting high-performance financial systems. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, and highly available as the company expands its trading and data capabilities.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Monitor system performance, respond to incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
• Work with development and QA teams to integrate new features and services smoothly.
• Implement and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
• Develop and enforce best practices for security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to incident response and post-mortems.

Qualifications

• 3\+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong Linux/Unix expertise and shell scripting experience.
• Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.).
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancers, firewalls).
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Nice to Have

• Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications.
• Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Coding experience in Python, Go, or Bash.
