Role Summary:

The AI \& Analytics team is seeking an experienced

Business Analyst

to play a critical role in shaping, governing, and delivering enterprise‑scale AI, analytics, and intelligent automation initiatives across the bank. This role requires a strong blend of business analysis expertise, financial services domain knowledge, and the ability to operate independently with senior stakeholders.

The Business Analyst will lead complex requirements efforts, influence solution design, support AI governance and risk processes, and ensure analytics and AI solutions deliver measurable business value. The role is expected to demonstrate strong judgment, ownership, and leadership, while serving as a trusted partner to front‑office, risk, compliance, operations, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis \& Solution Definition

• Lead end‑to‑end business analysis for complex AI, analytics, and intelligent automation initiatives, from problem definition through delivery and adoption.
• Own the translation of business strategy and operating needs into clear use cases, functional requirements, user stories, and success metrics.
• Partner closely with AI engineers, data engineers, and analytics leads to shape solution approaches and ensure alignment with business intent.
• Challenge assumptions and proactively recommend alternative approaches where appropriate.

Senior Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a primary point of contact for senior business and technology stakeholders across multiple lines of business.
• Facilitate working sessions, design reviews, and decision forums with executive‑level participants.
• Provide clear, concise communication on scope, risks, trade‑offs, and delivery status, tailored to senior audiences.

Governance, Risk \& Regulatory Alignment

• Play a key role in AI and analytics governance, including model intake, approvals, documentation, and ongoing monitoring.
• Ensure solutions comply with internal policies, model risk management standards, data governance requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations.
• Contribute to materials for governance committees, audits, regulatory exams, and internal reviews.
• Act as a control‑minded partner, identifying and escalating risks early and pragmatically.

Delivery Leadership \& Execution

• Provide analytical leadership across one or more workstreams within large or strategically important initiatives.
• Support planning, dependency management, issue resolution, and delivery tracking in partnership with program and delivery leads.
• Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), validation of business outcomes, and readiness for production deployment.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide informal guidance on analysis standards and best practices.

Business Value \& Insight Generation

• Analyze business processes, operational metrics, and performance data to identify opportunities for AI‑driven improvement.
• Support development of business cases, value realization frameworks, and benefits tracking for AI and analytics initiatives.
• Prepare executive‑ready presentations, summaries, and written materials for senior management and governance forums.

Required Experience

• 6–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within financial services, investment banking, or capital markets.
• Proven experience leading analysis for data, analytics, or AI‑enabled initiatives of meaningful scale and complexity.
• Demonstrated experience operating in highly regulated environments with strong governance and control requirements.

Required Skills:

• Advanced requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of data, analytics, and AI concepts, including data flows, model lifecycles, and analytics delivery practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel); experience with Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) preferred.
• Excellent executive‑level written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives concurrently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MS) and/or relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI‑PBA, Agile BA) preferred.
