Job Description

Centrii is seeking a

Network Engineer

to support the deployment of secure OT network infrastructure across energy-sector environments. This role is hands-on and deployment-focused, supporting critical infrastructure, including

renewable energy facilities, wind farms, and BESS

.

This is not a desk job. Our engineers work directly in the field, deploying production networks that support the reliability and security of modern energy assets.

You will work closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and project teams to install, configure, and validate networking infrastructure at operational energy sites.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure

OT and enterprise network infrastructure

at client energy facilities

  • Travel extensively to project sites across the

UK, EU, and United States

  • Install and configure network equipment including Firewalls, Ruggedized switches, Cellular gateways, Edge compute systems
  • Deploy OT monitoring infrastructure including

Tenable OT sensors

  • Build and configure virtualization environments using

Proxmox

to host operational VMs

  • Perform network configuration across major vendor platforms including

Fortinet

,

Cisco

,

Palo Alto Networks

,

Cradlepoint

  • Conduct system validation, troubleshooting, and commissioning
  • Produce

as-built documentation

, network diagrams, and configuration records

  • Create single-line diagrams and markups using

Visio, Lucidchart or Bluebeam

  • Work directly with client engineering and operations teams in

control rooms and field environments

  • Support safe installation practices in industrial and energy facilities

Qualifications

  • Experience deploying and supporting

enterprise or OT networks

  • Strong familiarity with

Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint or similar enterprise networking platforms

  • Experience installing and configuring

industrial or field networking equipment

  • Familiarity with

Proxmox or other virtualization platforms

  • Experience with

OT monitoring platforms such as Claroty, Dragos, Nozomi or Tenable

is highly desirable

  • Ability to create

network documentation and diagrams

  • Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills
  • Comfortable working in

client-facing environments

  • Ability to travel extensively for deployments

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Success in this position is defined by the ability to operate confidently and independently in the field while delivering high-quality, production-ready network deployments. In this role, successful engineers will:

  • Arrive on-site prepared, organized, and ready to execute deployments with minimal supervision
  • Independently install, configure, and validate network infrastructure in

live OT environments

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues without relying on constant remote support
  • Deliver

clean, stable, and secure network deployments

that meet client and operational requirements

  • Produce accurate and professional

as-built documentation and network diagrams

  • Communicate effectively with both

technical teams and non-technical stakeholders on-site

  • Represent Centrii professionally in front of clients, partners, and asset operators
  • Adapt quickly to changing site conditions, project timelines, and technical challenges
  • Maintain a strong focus on

safety, quality, and reliability

in industrial environments
