Financial Controller

About the Opportunity

Prospera Executive has been instructed on a Financial Controller search for a high-growth, investor-backed SaaS platform.

The business is entering its next phase of scale, transitioning from outsourced finance to a fully in-house, institutional-grade function. The Financial Controller will work closely with the CFO/CEO and play a critical role in building the accounting infrastructure, implementing a robust control framework, and establishing best-in-class processes to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the accounting function, transitioning from outsourced to in-house
• Build and implement a strong control framework, including policies, processes, and audit readiness
• Own month-end close, reporting, and consolidated financials across multiple entities
• Lead ERP optimization (ideally NetSuite), including assessing current setup vs potential migration
• Establish scalable processes across AP, AR, and general ledger
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and maintain high standards of financial accuracy and control
• Support board reporting and provide clear financial visibility to leadership
• Partner with the business on targets, planning, and light FP\&A activities
• Build and develop the finance function over time, including hiring underneath

Ideal Candidate

• Proven Financial Controller (or equivalent) within a SaaS, technology, or high-growth environment
• Experience in PE-backed or VC-backed businesses
• Track record of building or significantly upgrading a finance function, ideally as a first or early finance hire
• Strong technical accounting background, including US GAAP and multi-entity experience
• Strong systems experience (NetSuite or similar ERP)
• Self-starter with high energy, comfortable operating in a build environment
• Hands-on, with the ability to operate both strategically and at a detailed level
