Job Description

Our client, a globally recognized manufacturer of recreational and outdoor equipment, is seeking a

Senior Buyer

to join their supply chain team in Dallas, Texas. This organization designs and produces products that bring communities together and create engaging environments for people of all ages.

This role is ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys balancing

strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, and data-driven decision making

. The

Senior Buyer

will support supplier partnerships, drive competitive sourcing initiatives, and ensure reliable supply of critical materials while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, analytics, and engineering to identify opportunities for supplier optimization, improved processes, and risk mitigation within the supply chain.

Projects You’ll Work On

  • Supporting strategic sourcing initiatives that improve supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and supply chain reliability.
  • Coordinating

competitive sourcing events such as RFQs

for direct materials and evaluating supplier proposals.

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to define

material, quality, and service requirements

for sourcing projects.

  • Monitoring supplier performance using

KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics

.

  • Assisting with

supplier onboarding, vendor setup, and quarterly business review (QBR) processes

.

  • Collaborating with analytics teams to generate

monthly sourcing and procurement performance reports

.

  • Supporting supplier negotiations and helping maintain contract and pricing compliance.
  • Researching market trends and pricing intelligence to anticipate potential cost fluctuations.
  • Identifying and integrating

new suppliers, sourcing strategies, or materials

to strengthen supply continuity.

This role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of procurement and sourcing while working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.

What Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in

Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field

.

  • Approximately

3\+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or purchasing

.

  • Experience supporting

RFQs, supplier negotiations, or competitive sourcing events

.

  • Familiarity with

supplier performance metrics, contracts, and vendor management processes

.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sourcing data and market insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to support initiatives that improve supply chain performance or cost structure.

Work Environment
