EMDP is a boutique multidisciplinary consultancy working in the fields of Environment \| Management \| Design and Planning for over 30 years.

EMDP has been responsible for the formulation of master plans and public urban design, advocacy planning, the preparation of specialist planning documents like Environment Impact Assessments and Traffic Impact Studies, restoration reports, urban studies as well as the preparation of background studies for a number of Local Plans.

EMDP carries out environmental monitoring on ongoing projects, carries out environment assessment and strategic environment assessments as well as carries out novel research environment related studies.

Currently, EMDP is seeking to expand its core team by recruiting amongst others a Malta based:

Environment Scientist

The position calls for individuals who are in possession of the licensed to work as an Environment Professional within a country of the European Union and/or the Country of origin of the selected candidate.

Experience working on strategic impact assessment and the assessment/monitoring of large scale multi- million Euro projects is a must. Preparation of and/or participation in various environment research related projects, as well as the preparation/filling/obtaining/monitoring environmental permits is considered an asset.

The chosen applicant is to be willing to transfer to Malta; travel; work in a small, versatile, tight knit team with experiences spanning from the initial conceptual stages to the evolution of design, the final stages and follow up of development permit submission, followed by detailed design, tender preparations, construction, contract management supervision and certification.

Minimum Role Requirements:

Experience in the handling of environment impact assessments and environmental monitoring accreditation like IEMA [uk] are essential.

Proven Fluency in written and spoken English

is a must.

In possession of a clean and valid international driving license.

Requirements:

**Academic Background - Role Requirements

:**

·        Master’s Degree in Biology, Oceanography, Environmental Science or Management (MQF Level 7 from an internationally recognised University); or higher

**Professional Background - Role Requirements

:**

·        In possession of an advanced open water professional diving certification.

·        Demonstrated Experience in environmental monitoring and sampling on site.

·        Demonstrated Experience in Laboratory Analysis.

·        Experience in the drawing up of environment permits.

**Work Experience - Role Requirements

:**

·        A minimum of 3-year post qualification and post warrant/licence/membership.

·        A license and experience in the operation of Drones and terrestrial modelling.

·        A license and experience in the operation of ROV and marine modelling.

·        A nautical license to handle boats.
