Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer

This company is hiring a full-time Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud Migration Lead) for a primarily remote position based out of the Salt Lake City, UT area. The organization is currently modernizing from a heavily on-premises Microsoft environment into a hybrid AWS infrastructure model. This engineer will work across AWS, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, SQL Server, Terraform, Python/PowerShell, networking, security, and cloud migration technologies. While the position is remote for the most part, there may occasionally be a need to visit the company’s data center in Draper, UT.

This is a great opportunity for an infrastructure engineer who enjoys modernization work and wants to have a direct impact on how a company moves from traditional infrastructure into the cloud. You will work directly with the VP of Technology to help design the AWS strategy, architecture, automation, and migration roadmap rather than simply maintaining an already-established cloud environment. They are looking for someone who understands traditional infrastructure but also naturally thinks in terms of automation, Infrastructure as Code, cloud architecture, security, and modernization. The role offers significant ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to help shape the company’s infrastructure environment for years to come.

Required Skills \& Experience

• 5\+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role
• 3\+ years of hands-on AWS cloud migration experience
• Strong AWS experience including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and Route 53
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft / Windows Server environments
• Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Experience supporting on-premises infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and virtualization
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies
• Experience scripting and automating infrastructure tasks using Python and/or PowerShell
• Experience designing and supporting hybrid networking between on-premises environments and AWS
• Experience with infrastructure security, encryption, IAM, logging, monitoring, and access controls
• Experience working within PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant environments
• Experience leading infrastructure modernization or cloud migration projects
