Finance Controller – High-Growth Global Business Unit

We are partnering with a global organization experiencing rapid growth within one of its most dynamic business units to identify a Finance Controller. This is a highly visible, strategic leadership role reporting directly to a sophisticated Global Controller who is focused on developing her successor.

Position Overview

The Finance Controller will play a critical role in leading financial operations, enhancing team performance, and driving process improvements. This individual will own the month-end close process and maintain full accountability for the P\&L, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5–6 direct reports across revenue and finance operations
  • Drive accountability, performance management, and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Own and manage the full month-end close cycle, partnering closely with Accounting and operational teams
  • Maintain full ownership of the P\&L, including revenue recognition, expense management, and financial reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Support business leadership with financial insights and analysis to drive decision-making
  • Effectively lead through change in a fast-evolving, high-growth environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
  • 8–12\+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
  • Prior experience in a Controller or senior finance leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close, revenue recognition, and P\&L management
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and implement process improvements
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth or complex global environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
