Job Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the company’s marketing strategy and increasing engagement across wholesale markets through inbound marketing programs, digital channels, and targeted campaigns. The role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, managing digital marketing, brand strategy, lead generation, and customer engagement initiatives that drive revenue growth. This position also develops and manages inbound-driven wholesale accounts for small and mid-sized customers while partnering with the enterprise sales team on account-based marketing strategies. Additionally, the Marketing Manager supervises a Marketing Coordinator and collaborates with sales, product, and inventory teams to align marketing efforts with sales priorities and product availability.

Marketing Strategy \& Execution

  • Execute the marketing strategy set by the Director of Sales \& Marketing.
  • Plan, organize, and direct projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and under budget.
  • Manage the marketing calendar and align campaigns with seasonal product cycles and sales priorities.
  • Lead digital marketing, inbound programs, and multi‑channel customer growth and engagement.
  • Oversee drip campaigns, email communications, automation workflows, and inbound lead qualification (HubSpot).
  • Support ABM initiatives in partnership with account sales teams.

Digital, Content \& Brand Management

  • Manage the company website, ensuring accurate product info, updated content, and strong user experience.
  • Maintain brand voice, visual identity, and organizational adherence to brand standards.
  • Develop content including blog posts, thought leadership pieces, marketing materials, social media, and customer communications.
  • Produce sales enablement materials including product sheets, presentations, and collateral.
  • Support organizational initiatives for industry engagement including strategic collaborations, and industry marketing activities.

Product / Market Development

  • Collaborate with the Product Team for product-related marketing content ensuring audience-appropriate messaging that reflects product attributes and applications and maintains clarity and consistency across materials and platforms
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Evaluate product market fit across new and existing markets and recommend growth opportunities.
  • Support product launches with market insights, positioning, and go‑to‑market materials.
  • Identify and validate opportunities to expand the use of existing products into adjacent or emerging markets.
  • Provide feedback to product and sales teams based on marketing performance, customer engagement, and market data.

Sales Alignment \& Customer Engagement

  • Coordinate marketing activities with sales teams to support revenue growth.
  • Manage engagement strategies for small/mid-sized inbound wholesale accounts.
  • Train sales teams on marketing programs, messaging, and customer-facing materials.
  • Ensure marketing alignment with product availability and inventory planning.

Forecasting, Planning \& Performance Analytics

  • Contribute to annual marketing goals, plans, and budget development.
  • Track and analyze marketing performance metrics using HubSpot and Power BI.
  • Produce dashboards and reports on lead flow, campaign performance, and customer engagement.
  • Recommend adjustments to improve ROI, conversion rates, and market expansion.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or business

Experience

Required

  • 5\+ years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B marketing
  • Experience managing digital marketing, multi-channel campaigns, and marketing projects.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience in horticulture, agriculture, green industry, or landscape markets
  • Experience supporting sales-driven organizations
