The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Paid Media Specialist to own the build, launch, and optimization of our paid campaigns across Google and Meta. This is a doer role: you'll be in the ad platforms every day, building campaigns yourself, reading the data, and turning it into better performance.
Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing, you'll manage campaign execution end to end and be our go-to expert on Google Ads and Meta Ads.
This is a hybrid role. You'll work remotely most of the time and come into the office for occasional events. Candidates must reside within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
What You'll Do
- Build, launch, and manage paid campaigns from the ground up in Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Display, YouTube) and Meta Ads Manager (Facebook and Instagram) as well as several other platforms.
- Own campaign structure, keyword strategy, audience targeting, bidding, and budget pacing to hit acquisition and efficiency goals.
- Monitor performance daily and optimize toward key metrics such as CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate, and lead quality.
- Plan and run A/B tests on ad creative, copy, audiences, landing pages, and bid strategies, then scale what works.
- Set up and maintain conversion tracking, pixels, and tagging in partnership with web and analytics teams.
- Analyze campaign data and build clear performance reports and dashboards with actionable recommendations.
- Create executive-facing reports that summarize paid media performance, results, and recommendations, and present them to senior leadership.
- Manage multiple campaigns, launches, and deadlines at once, coordinating with creative, web, and sales teams to keep work on schedule.
- When needed, manage an external paid media agency: set direction, review their campaign work and reporting, and hold them accountable to performance goals.
- Project manage external partners related to paid media placement, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure placements run on schedule and to spec.
- Stay current on platform updates, policy changes, and paid media best practices.
- Other items as assigned.
What You Bring (Required)
- 4\+ years of hands-on experience building and managing paid campaigns yourself in Google Ads and Meta Ads. This means you personally built the campaigns, not just oversaw an agency or another team.
- Subject matter expertise in Google Ads and Meta Ads, including campaign architecture, bidding strategies, audience building, and platform-specific optimization.
- Proven track record of growing volume and revenue efficiently, scaling results while improving campaign KPIs (such as CPA, ROAS, and conversion rate) over time.
- Strong analytical skills with paid media data. You're comfortable working in platform reporting, Google Analytics (GA4), and spreadsheets to diagnose performance, spot trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Solid understanding of conversion tracking, attribution, and how paid media connects to leads, pipeline, and revenue.
- Strong project management skills: you can juggle multiple campaigns and priorities, hit deadlines, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain results and recommendations to non-specialists.
Nice to Have
- Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint certifications.
- Experience with additional channels such as Microsoft Ads, YouTube, or programmatic.
- Experience in lead generation, home services, security, or subscription businesses.
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, or other BI and reporting tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
