Role Description

The Registered Dental Hygienist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Medford, OR. The hygienist will perform comprehensive dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, and other preventive hygiene procedures. Daily responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, taking and charting dental and periodontal measurements, providing patient education on oral hygiene and disease prevention, and collaborating with the dentist on treatment plans. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and contributing to an efficient, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support a range of general practice services.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and preventive care for diverse patient needs.
  • Candidates should possess skills in assessing and managing Periodontal Disease, including periodontal charting and non-surgical periodontal therapy.
  • Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Oregon, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards, radiography techniques, and use of dental practice management software.
  • Strong communication and patient education abilities, with a focus on empathy, cultural sensitivity, and clear explanations of treatment and home care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team, manage time effectively, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPR certification and prior experience in a general dentistry setting are preferred.
