Associate - Private Markets Portfolio Team

We're looking for an experienced investment professional to join a Private Markets Portfolio team in Sydney, with the main focus being Infrastructure Assets. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of deal execution and portfolio oversight within a globally integrated investment firm. You'll be embedded in a team that has spent the past seven years honing its portfolio monitoring capabilities, and which has more recently expanded to cover Asia Private Equity and Infrastructure strategies. As the platform continues to grow, this role has been created to deepen that coverage further.

Day to day, you'll track and analyse the performance of portfolio companies across the investment cycle, producing insights that inform both internal committees and external stakeholders. You'll work alongside origination deal teams on financial and strategic initiatives, maintain ongoing dialogue with senior company leadership, and take ownership of quarterly reviews, monthly and quarterly valuations, and the financial models that underpin them. There's also a collaborative dimension to this role that extends across Investor Relations, Macro, and ESG teams in the production of investor materials and reporting.

The person we're looking for brings at least five years of relevant experience, likely from private equity, asset management, investment banking, consulting, transaction services, or restructuring. You're comfortable building and interpreting financial models including DCF analysis, and you can move quickly between granular financial detail and the bigger strategic picture. Strong communication skills matter here — you'll be presenting to senior audiences and need to do so with clarity and confidence.
