What to Expect
This role supports chemical analysis and organic chemistry operations by executing sample isolation, preparation, and data organization in direct collaboration with engineering teams. The position focuses on analytical workflows that enable R\&D efforts across lithium-ion battery development and related chemical components.
What You'll Do* Contribute to efforts improving lithium-ion battery performance and chemical components of products
- Support data generation that feeds multiple R\&D teams across the company
- Prepare analytical standards, serial dilutions, and unknown samples
- Process end-of-life li-ion cells to characterize chemical compositions
- Work with engineers to isolate, purify, and characterize in-house organic compounds
- Assist in preventative and repair operations on analytical instruments to limit downtime
- Maintain clean and organized workspace to guarantee data integrity
What You'll Bring* Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with lab work and handling of hazardous chemical materials
- Experience with analytical workflows and quality control operations in a chemistry lab setting
- Familiarity with chemical isolation techniques such as column chromatography, distillation, sublimation, drying, lyophilization, TLC, or re-crystallization
- Familiarity with operating instruments such as GC-MS, NMR, Karl-Fischer titrators, HPLC-MS, ICP, IC, UV-Vis, or equivalent
- Basic understanding of li-ion batteries
- Experience in chemistry lab operations, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation* Engineering Tech I - $21\.96 - $32\.94/hour
- Engineering Tech II - $25\.92 - $38\.88/hour
- Engineering Tech III - $30\.24 - $45\.36/hour
- Engineering Tech IV - $33\.84 - $50\.76/hour
- Engineering Tech V - $39\.24 - $58\.86/hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
