About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer to develop the platform that delivers consumer-grade experiences at scale. This role sits at the intersection of design, product, and engineering, focusing on creating core components, systems, and tooling that enable teams to innovate rapidly and confidently. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our design system and frontend architecture, taking ownership of both strategic planning and hands-on implementation. Your work will ensure the delivery of high-quality, consistent user interfaces, reducing regressions and eliminating redundant efforts. This position is foundational to building a world-class product surface and elevating frontend craftsmanship as Grow Therapy continues to grow. The role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the visual and functional quality of our platform, making a meaningful impact on millions of users seeking mental health support.

Qualifications

• 5\+ years of frontend or fullstack engineering experience, preferably in product-driven environments
• Experience building and scaling design systems, component libraries, or developer platforms
• Proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and CSS systems
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development workflows
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance optimization techniques
• Excellent collaboration skills with designers and engineers throughout the product lifecycle
• Ability to quickly prototype and transform ambiguous ideas into polished user interfaces
• System thinking skills, including pattern recognition, complexity reduction, and reusability design
• Effective communication skills, capable of influencing product and UI decisions
• A passion for creating intuitive, consumer-grade user experiences
• Ownership mindset with a bias toward speed, pragmatism, and action-oriented problem solving

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Grow Therapy’s core design system utilized by both engineering and design teams
• Develop scalable, reusable frontend components that ensure consistent, high-quality user experiences
• Prototype and experiment rapidly to validate ideas before integration into the design system
• Establish and promote best practices in accessibility, performance, localization, and responsiveness
• Enhance UI consistency and reduce regressions through effective abstractions, testing, and tooling
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate design system components into their workflows seamlessly
• Create comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and governance frameworks to support adoption and extensibility
• Elevate visual polish, interaction quality, and overall frontend craftsmanship standards
• Contribute to shaping an AI-forward development approach to accelerate and democratize frontend development processes
