SEO Manager

We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager with deep expertise in Google Search, Google News, and Google Discover. This role is critical in driving high-quality organic traffic, improving content visibility, and building sustainable growth channels through advanced SEO strategies.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing large-scale content sites (preferably in finance, news, or media), understands Google’s ranking systems and algorithm updates, and can build SEO frameworks optimized for news indexing and Discover performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO strategies specifically for Google News inclusion and ranking.
• Manage Google Publisher Center configurations and News sitemap optimization.
• Ensure compliance with Google News content policies and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with editorial teams to improve headline structure, freshness signals, and topical authority.
• Build and execute strategies to increase traffic from Google Discover.
• Optimize content for Discover visibility (entity-based optimization, visual strategy, CTR improvements).
• Own overall SEO roadmap including technical, on-page, and off-page optimization.
• Track and report KPIs: organic traffic, Discover traffic, News traffic, CTR, rankings, indexing status.

Requirements

• 5\+ years of SEO experience, preferably in news, media, or fintech.
• Proven success growing traffic from:
• Google News
• Google Discover
• Google Search
• Strong understanding of:
• Technical SEO (crawlability, indexing, schema, Core Web Vitals)
• News sitemap \& structured data (Article, NewsArticle, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with large-scale content websites.
• Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience managing algorithm volatility in news/discover ecosystems.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Mandarin is a plus).
• Experience in financial media or investment platforms is highly preferred.
