We are looking for an exceptional Senior Designer to join our team at Big Spaceship. This role will have the opportunity to work across a variety of marketing and communication mediums, while blending creative thinking with strong design executions.
Role \+ Responsibilities:
- Multidisciplinary design practitioner, being able to work seamlessly across branding, marketing campaigns and product design
- Work and collaborate with creative teams on campaign visual identities that may include design adaptations for print, DOOH, website, web banners, email, social and experiential content
- Knowledgeable of best practices across the various mediums stated above
- Participate in ideation for marketing campaigns and design solutions, leveraging an understanding of design trends and foundational design thinking
- Participate in the creation of pre-production materials, inclusive of storyboards, moodboards, shotlists, or prototypes where necessary
- Ability to navigate, collaborate, and communicate between cross-department disciplines
- A self-starter who can quickly adapt to client feedback and formulate design solutions that can help solve business and creative needs
- Mentor junior team members within the design discipline
- Clearly and confidently present work while providing the rationale for decisions made
Requirements
- 6\+ years of design experience in an agency setting or equivalent
- Portfolio showcasing successful design/ creative campaigns
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Figma Slides
- Practiced understanding of AI for creative and design image, video and design applications
- Familiarity with Slack as a daily form of collaborative communication
- A passion for design culture and inventing solutions to tomorrow's challenges today
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate design rationale
- Knowledge of basic 2D motion graphics animations (supers, graphics, closed captions, etc..)
- Proficiency in animation and 2D motion graphics within programs such as AfterEffects, is a plus
- Proficiency in video editing with Premiere, CapCut, is a plus
Benefits
The salary band for this role is $100,000 - $125,000\. Where a prospective new hire's base salary will fall within this band depends on several factors including their qualifications and experience, the skill level required in the role, market rates, and the salaries of existing crew members at Big Spaceship within the same role to maintain equity.
