Role Overview

Are you passionate about uncovering consumer insights, influencing product innovation, and ensuring exceptional user experiences? Our client is in search of a Product Researcher to join their pioneering team, dedicated to shaping the future of consumer electronics.

Together with your team, you have end-to-end responsibility for product research in the consumer electronics domain, with a collaborative spirit to support each other's roles when needed

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct market research, analyze trends, and assess the competitive landscape
  • Gather user insights through interviews, surveys, and usability studies
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for potential product integration
  • Conceptualize and prototype new product ideas based on market and user data
  • Monitor competitors and provide recommendations for product improvements
  • Analyze data to optimize product performance and user experiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate research findings
  • Ensure ethical research practices and data security
  • Promote innovation and creative thinking within the organization
  • Stay current with industry best practices and methodologies

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should bring the following skills and experience

  • An academic background in consumer-focused disciplines such as User-System Interaction, Design for Interaction, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Industrial Design, or Psychology
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in user research, consumer science, industrial design, or psychology within product or service development, preferably for physical products
  • Proficiency in UX/UI design and qualitative/quantitative user research
  • A broad understanding of consumer research methodologies and a strong grasp of underlying statistics
  • Preferably, experience with agile ways of working and a mindset aligned with agility
  • Curiosity and empathy towards consumers and customers
  • Exceptional planning skills and the ability to manage your role within the project team
  • Proactive attitude, demonstrating the capacity to lead and advocate for the end-user in our innovation processes.
