Job Description
A nonprofit healthcare center is seeking a Human Resources Recruiter / Generalist to join its Human Resources team in Suffolk County, Long Island. This is a hybrid position.
This role will support recruitment and retention efforts with a primary focus on healthcare and patient services vacancies. The Human Resources Recruiter / Generalist will work closely with Talent Acquisition leadership and hiring managers to support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, payroll-related processes, and general HR department operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment for healthcare, patient services, entry-level, technical, and professional roles
- Maintain approved requisitions, vacancy logs, and job postings
- Source candidates through job boards, community outreach, schools, recruitment apps, career fairs, and DEI-focused channels
- Review resumes and conduct preliminary candidate interviews
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Process background checks in accordance with policy
- Prepare salary-setting documentation, offers, and onboarding paperwork
- Coordinate personnel files and new hire documentation
- Support New Employee Training on a rotational schedule
- Assist with internal recruitment, transfers, and workforce development efforts
- Serve as an HRIS resource for ADP Workforce Now
- Support employee lifecycle transactions, benefits enrollment, payroll authorizations, and HR data entry
- Coordinate HR forms and files for payroll and finance processing
- Provide general HR department support as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior recruitment experience required; healthcare recruitment experience preferred
- 1–2 years of Human Resources Management, HR Generalist, or related HR experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding
- ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
- Payroll, HRIS, benefits enrollment, or employee lifecycle transaction experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional, customer-focused approach
- Comfortable supporting a mission-driven healthcare organization
Compensation
: $65,000–$75,000 annually
