VP of Engineering

to build and lead a world-class engineering function.

The Role

This is a pivotal leadership hire, reporting directly to the founders. You’ll take ownership of engineering strategy, architecture, and team growth, helping scale a modern data platform used by sophisticated buy-side and financial services clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with product and commercial goals
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams (NY \+ distributed)
• Own platform architecture across data pipelines, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
• Partner closely with Product and GTM teams to deliver client-driven solutions
• Drive best practices across DevOps, CI/CD, security, and performance
• Establish a culture of accountability, innovation, and delivery excellence

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (VP / Head of Engineering) within fintech, data, or SaaS
• Strong background in building scalable, cloud-native platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience working with complex data products, APIs, and real-time systems
• Track record of hiring and leading high-performing teams in growth environments
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with exposure to founders and investors
• Bonus: Experience in capital markets, trading tech, or financial data platforms
