Senior HR Generalist - Hospitality industry experience
Position Overview
Based out of our Dallas office, we are a large, highly respected, national leader in the Hospitality industry with over 40 years of history. We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to manage and execute core human resources functions including benefits administration, payroll processing, employee relations, and compliance. The role partners with managers and employees to deliver consistent HR services, improve processes, and support a positive workplace culture. The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR professional who can operate independently, lead HR initiatives, and contribute to HR systems improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs including enrollment, eligibility, vendor coordination, and benefits communication.
- Process and validate payroll data on a timely basis; coordinate with payroll providers and ensure accurate deductions and tax withholding.
- Act as a primary HR generalist providing guidance on policies, performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee relations matters.
- Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive new-hire experience and secure separation procedures.
- Partner with managers to support talent management activities, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Support HR systems and data integrity efforts, generate HR reports and analytics to inform decision-making.
- Recommend and implement process improvements and best practices to streamline HR operations.
- Coordinate training and development programs and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for compensation administration, leave management (FMLA, disability), and HR-related reporting audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated human resources experience, including exposure to benefits administration, HR systems, and payroll processing.
- Hospitality industry experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven experience handling employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
- Experience with HR systems and maintaining data integrity; comfortable working with HRIS and generating reports.
- Nice-to-have: PHR or SHRM-CP certification, experience with Workday.
