WordPress Designer/Developer (Avada Theme)
We are seeking an experienced WordPress Designer/Developer to make targeted updates and improvements to an existing website built on the Avada theme. This is not a full website redesign. Instead, the focus is on enhancing specific sections of the site, updating content, cleaning up outdated elements, managing plugins, and improving overall website performance and health.
The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate the current website, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide a clear estimate of the hours required to complete the work.
This project is expected to begin within the next month, and we are looking for someone who can execute efficiently and deliver quality results without an extended timeline.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess the current WordPress website
- Make targeted design and content updates within the Avada framework
- Remove or modernize outdated site elements
- Update, audit, and manage WordPress plugins
- Improve website performance, speed, and overall site health scores
- Optimize site structure and functionality where needed
- Update portfolio and website content sections
- Provide recommendations for ongoing improvements and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with WordPress development and design
- Strong hands-on experience working with the Avada theme
- Experience managing and updating WordPress plugins
- Knowledge of website optimization, performance improvements, and site health best practices
- Experience updating portfolio pages and website content
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement efficient solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide accurate project estimates
- Experience improving Core Web Vitals and page speed metrics
- Familiarity with WordPress security and maintenance best practices
- Ability to identify UX/UI improvements within an existing site structure
