Founding Engineer \| AI Infrastructure \| TypeScript / Python

Rare opportunity for a Founding Engineer - you will be the first Engineering hire in the Lonodn office (full UK squad being built). You’ll work closely with the CTO and US team (circa 15 engineers), taking ownership of complex technical problems and building the backend systems that power both the product and the wider business.

What you’ll be working on

• Architecting backend systems for high-throughput LLM interactions

• Building retrieval pipelines, vector search and multi-agent workflows

• Connecting model providers, databases and internal APIs

• Designing data pipelines, caching layers and asynchronous task systems

• Building internal tools and automation across product, CRM and finance

• Making decisions around architecture, infrastructure and engineering standards

• Shipping quickly while ensuring systems remain reliable and scalable

You’ll probably be a strong fit if you:

• Have owned technical projects from architecture through to production
• Enjoy solving backend, infrastructure and systems-level problems
• Care about data modelling, reliability and performance
• Can translate commercial problems into well-designed technical solutions
• Are comfortable building APIs, workflows and internal platforms
• Thrive in fast-moving environments where engineers have real autonomy
• Are excited by the intersection of AI, financial systems and software engineering

Experience with payments, billing, usage-based pricing, developer tools, retrieval systems or data pipelines would be particularly useful.
