The

Marketing Analyst – Driver Safety

supports the development and execution of multi‑channel marketing campaigns that advance Driver Safety program goals and measurable outcomes. This role partners closely with Marketing Managers and cross‑functional teams to help plan, implement, and execute day-to-day marketing efforts across direct mail, email, and local marketing initiatives that promote safe driving behaviors and program participation. You will support intake and ongoing marketing requests, manage assigned campaign components, and help ensure materials are delivered accurately and on time using established tools and templates. Responsibility for reviewing campaign performance, translating reporting into actionable insights, and adjusting tactics to respond to changing market and audience needs will be critical in this role. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a large nationwide group of volunteers on marketing efforts for driver safety-related programs.

Responsibilities

  • Creates proposals, presentations, and other materials using product information, data, and media insights to maximize sales and program participation.
  • Consults with other internal teams and senior staff to deliver effective programs and other client offerings. May collaborate with external agencies, partners, or clients to shape campaigns and incorporate recommendations.
  • Reviews the success of past marketing campaigns in order to inform future marketing strategies and support reports to leadership. Assesses the competitive landscape and market trends to identify new opportunities and marketing strategies most relevant to the target audiences.
  • Assists in aligning with marketing guidelines, best practices, and brand stewardship for internal and external clients.
  • Assists with planning, creation, production process, and execution of various strategic communications initiatives that support the organization and/or external clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Experience and interest in the area of marketing.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams of employees and volunteers.
  • Comfort reviewing data, reports, and KPIs to help inform marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to learn new marketing tools, systems, and processes.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with marketing operations systems, CRM platforms, or email marketing tools. Exposure to tools such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Adobe Experience Manager, and/or Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience supporting volunteer-based or community-focused programs.

  • Independent judgement in evaluation options to make sound decisions.
  • In office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise.

Hybrid Work Environment

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
