Job Description

The purpose of the role -

We are looking at a digital first marketer, with 5/6 years of digital experience. While the role’s key deliverables are in the spaces of digital creative and content, her/his understanding of digital media (including a good handle on performance marketing, D2C \& E comm growth), data (First, second \& third party data and its use cases) driven planning and analytics and working knowledge digital measurements.

  • In marketing and media our digital marketing role would be the first to capture the consumer’s imagination, and be the representative of this digital consumer in the marketing/media teams
  • This role will be the bridge to bring alive the ‘How’s’ of digital, from a comms planning, campaign strategy, design and execution, hence has to sit at the cusp of both brand and digital teams. This role would be the key stake holder in driving the overarching digital agenda of the organisation and integrate the same into brand marketing interventions
  • The key stakeholders that this role will work with – The Brand team, Digital media team, Consumer insights team, Internal tech team, Internal creative team, The performance marketing(E comm)
  • The candidate should have interest and understanding of AI, and should be hands on with using AI based solutions for creative, content, media etc. A tech orientation towards AI, creation of agents (marketing or for personal productivity ones) are welcome.

The role holder will be responsible for –

This role will connect the dots) at a market level) of emerging trends from a content, tech, digital platforms, and consumer conversations, across the brands she/he handles, hence lead and direct digital/social agencies to withhold the larger brand and digital agenda

Hence the role will be the custodian of delivering -

  • Brand Communication planning – Devise and execute the digital campaign strategy \+ Design with brand teams and digital creative agencies, as per the evolving best practices of creative
  • Digital content excellence - Digital platform first/optimised advertising content, seek out content (recipes), SEO optimised brand website content. A good understanding of GEO, AEO is crucial. How the brand can consistently enhance its advertising content quality through usage of more engaging/innovative/personalised formats, so as to drive higher view through rates, completion rates, click through and engagement rates and hence higher advertising effectiveness
  • Drive the brand’s agenda of Content Syndication, Sponsorships, Influencers/creators, Digital ambassadors, AI avatars
  • Being data driven – Understand consumer journeys, consistently innovate to drive Market X cohort X messaging X content formats X platforms through consistent A/B testing (through tools and measurements), optimise and apply further. Test and learn and optimise.
  • This role would also be the custodian of devising and growing the brand’s digital content footprint by building/growing consumer communities/tribes across existing platforms – YouTube subscribers, Instagram and Twitter followers Whatsapp communities, along with emerging platforms like Quora, Reddit, Telegram etc, as applicable
  • Devise the social media content strategy with the digital creative partners and internal stakeholders, and how the content can achieve organic discovery/virality. consistently
  • Be an anchor to the brand’s SEO/GEO/AIO approaches (Youtube/Website), the social listening and how it dovetails into the brand’s moment marketing campaign/content strategy
  • All owned digital assets – brand websites, content and value exchange platforms, based destinations that deliver consumer experiences

Profile

– 5 -6 years of experience in digital marketing/brand marketing roles, managing brands with a digital first orientation. Should display curiosity in the spaces of digital content, mar tech, Gen AI, consumer behaviour on digital and so on.

Background

– MBA from MICA, SIMC, XIM, XIC and similar institutes that provide expertise in communications degrees
