What this role actually is

If you've designed real audio silicon (not just blocks on paper) and taken at least one chip to silicon \+ bring-up, this is your lane. You'll own audio-centric analog/mixed-signal IC design end-to-end, especially:

• Class-D / audio amplifier architectures
• Power \+ analog signal chain (ADC front-end, regulators, biasing)
• Silicon debug when things don't behave like your sims said they would

This is not a narrow "block owner" role. It's for engineers who can go from architecture \>  transistor \> layout \> interaction \> lab bench \> fix \> ship.

What you'll actually do

• Design audio IC blocks from scratch (Class-D, analog front-end, PMIC elements)
• Build robust analog/mixed-signal circuits (bandgaps, POR, regulators, comparators)
• Run real simulations that matter: PVT, Monte Carlo, post-layout
• Own silicon bring-up and lab characterization
• Solve power \+ efficiency challenges in audio systems
• Partner closely with layout, validation, and customers

You're a strong fit if you

• Have 6\+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design
• Work comfortably at the transistor level (CMOS)
• Have shipped at least one tapeout
• Have hands-on experience with:

+ Audio ICs (Class-D preferred)

+ OR adjacent high-performance analog signal chains

• Know your way around

+ Cadence Virtuoso \+ SPICE (Spectre/HSPICE)

+ PVT, mismatch, noise, stability analysis

• Have done silicon debug in the lab scope analyzers real measurements

Bonus points (but not required)

• Low-power / high-efficiency design experience
• Verilog-AMS
• Python or MATLAB for automation
