The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for designing, analyzing, and administering compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate talent while ensuring alignment with the institution’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. This role provides advanced analytical support, market insights, and compensation recommendations across all business units, with a strong focus on compliance within the financial services industry.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the development, implementation, and administration of base salary, incentive, and bonus programs.
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using compensation surveys specific to financial services.
- Analyze internal equity and external competitiveness to make data-driven compensation recommendations.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership to support compensation decisions, including offers, promotions, and retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., FLSA, Equal Pay Act) and financial industry guidelines.
- Support and manage the annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, validation, bonus planning, salary structure updates and post-cycle audits.
- Manage and optimize compensation processes.
- Perform job evaluations.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and board-level compensation committees.
- Identify trends and provide insights on compensation strategies within the banking/credit union sector.

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field
- 5\+ years’ progressive compensation experience
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing, and salary structure design
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, formulas), strong analytical capability, and proficiency with HRIS systems
- Strong communication skills for presenting data-driven insights to leadership
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet tight deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Project management skills for implementing new comp initiatives
- Experience with compensation surveys (e.g., Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Pearl Meyer, etc)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
- Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field
- 10\+ years’ progressive compensation experience
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification
