Sterling Healthcare is seeking a people-focused and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our Riverwalk Communities team. This position will support the community in Human Resources, serving as a trusted resource for employees, leaders, residents, and families.

What You'll Do
Human Resources
- Manage day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee orientation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure required employment documentation is completed.
- Partner with community leadership on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and workplace concerns.
- Coordinate employee benefits and assist employees with benefit-related questions.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and professional development initiatives.
- Ensure HR practices and documentation comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare and long-term care employment regulations and provide guidance to leadership and employees as needed.
- Coordinate performance evaluations, probationary reviews, and other employment processes.
- Participate in community leadership and department meetings as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous HR Generalist or similar HR experience; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with community leadership.
- A professional, approachable, and service-focused attitude.
- Compassion and a genuine desire to support employees, residents, and families.
