Are you a Speech and Language therapist passionate about Neurodiversity?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and organised individual to work in our Neurodevelopmental team, based in Wrexham. The full-time (1\.0 WTE) Band 6 post will involve working with children and young people and their families with Neurodevelopmental conditions.

You will work in the East Neurodevelopmental Service which covers Wrexham and Flintshire in North Wales. The service offers Neurodevelopmental assessment services to children and young people.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will contribute their specialist knowledge and clinical experience to the neurodevelopmental team, supporting the assessment and management of the needs of young people . They will be completing Neurodevelopmental assessments and personal strengths and needs profiles. You will have previous knowledge or experience of working with children or young people with a ND profile. You will have enthusiasm and skills to support service development and contribute on a range of projects to ensure a co-ordinated service provision under the supervision of Band 7 colleagues.  You will  interface with  a range of other services, working collaboratively to support children, young  people  and their families.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

We offer a comprehensive and structured induction to all our new starters followed by high quality clinical supervision, regular team meetings and exciting CPD opportunities. You will receive regular management and clinical supervision.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Recognised qualification degree / equivalent in S\<

• HCPC Registration

• Able to demonstrate continuing professional development e.g. up to date, relevant CPD portfolio

Desirable criteria

• Membership of appropriate clinical network group

Experience

• A range of clinical experience across Adult / Paediatric SLT services
