Job Description

About the Role

CAFC is looking for a skilled and pragmatic Web Developer to build, maintain, and continuously improve its digital presence. As CAFC grows its membership, certifications, events, and content platforms, the website and associated digital infrastructure play an increasingly critical role in how the organisation reaches and serves its global audience. This is a role for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and delivery matters. You will work closely with the marketing, content, design, and product teams to ensure CAFC's digital platforms are fast, functional, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise CAFC's website and associated digital platforms, ensuring high performance, reliability, and a seamless user experience
  • Build and implement new web pages, landing pages, and features in line with campaign, product, and organisational requirements
  • Collaborate with the design team to translate visual concepts and wireframes into clean, responsive, and accessible front-end code
  • Integrate and maintain third-party tools and platforms, including CRM systems, marketing automation tools, payment gateways, membership platforms, and LMS integrations
  • Ensure website security, performance, and uptime through regular monitoring, testing, and maintenance
  • Optimise website performance for speed, SEO, and accessibility across devices and browsers
  • Support the development and maintenance of CAFC's learning management system and certification delivery platforms
  • Manage website hosting, domain configuration, and technical infrastructure in coordination with relevant vendors and partners
  • Identify and resolve bugs, technical issues, and performance bottlenecks in a timely and effective manner
  • Contribute to the planning and scoping of new digital development projects, providing technical input and effort estimates

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a web developer with a strong portfolio of delivered projects
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or equivalent platforms
  • Familiarity with back-end development and server-side technologies is an advantage
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs, payment systems, CRM platforms, and marketing automation tools
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimisation, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards
  • Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple development tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining code quality
  • Experience working within membership organisations, professional associations, or e-learning platforms is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, certification delivery systems, or event management integrations is desirable
  • An interest in or familiarity with the financial crime, compliance, or regulatory sector is a plus

What We Offer

  • A technically varied role with ownership across CAFC's full digital ecosystem, including website, certifications, membership, and event platforms
  • The opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation where digital capability is central to delivering on the mission
  • A collaborative team environment working alongside marketing, content, design, and operations professionals
  • Flexibility in how and where you work
  • Competitive compensation and professional development opportunities
