Job Description
Infrastructure Engineer
London or Winchester (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Up to £64,000 \+ benefits
We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a forward-thinking team working across cloud and on-prem environments. With the majority of infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure, this role offers hands-on exposure to modern technologies, automation, and emerging AI-driven solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Support and enhance infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments
- Design and implement scalable, standardised cloud solutions
- Automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency
- Manage core infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS)
- Maintain security, patching, and disaster recovery practices
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolutions
- Collaborate across teams and act as an escalation point for complex issues
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a DevOps environment with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
- Strong Azure knowledge (AWS or GCP also beneficial)
- Linux server experience
- Understanding of networking, M365, and storage technologies (SAN/NAS)
- Familiarity with monitoring and automation tools (e.g. Azure Monitor, Zabbix)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
