Description
Expert business analyst and facilitator responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and guiding discussions that lead to solutions aligned with organizational goals. The role gathers and documents requirements, collaborates with stakeholders, supports successful project implementation, and acts as a liaison between business units and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes and document requirements, including process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and support policy and operational alignment.
- Support Agile adoption, governance, retrospectives, backlog prioritization, and sprint planning.
- Lead process improvement, reengineering, workflow optimization, and implementation planning.
- Support operational readiness, user acceptance testing, deployment readiness, and postproduction activities.
- Develop and track KPIs, dashboards, workload and performance metrics, and data-driven recommendations.
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience as a business analyst or SME, including at least 5 years supporting federal programs in process optimization, requirements analysis, and system integration with a focus on immigration.
Certification:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equivalent.
Skills/Competencies:
Expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and workflow optimization; strong understanding of Agile methodologies, testing, and system deployment; ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business
solutions: 5 years of experience with immigration policy, exposure to agencies and offices in the immigration ecosystem, and DHS systems used for identity management and immigration status verification.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
Work Location:
Camp Springs, MD; Remote locations as authorized under USCIS telework policies
Clearance:
Must be a U.S. citizen and comply with all DHS and USCIS security requirements, including completion of background investigations and adherence to access restrictions.
