Job Description
We are a leading fashion house headquartered in NYC, recognized globally for creativity, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Our collections reach customers through wholesale, retail, and ecommerce channels, and we continue to expand our footprint in key international markets.
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager or Sr. Manager of Logistics to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of our product distribution across multiple channels. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining seamless inventory flow, and delivering an exceptional customer experience across wholesale partners, retail boutiques, and ecommerce platforms.
The role is ideal for a logistics professional with strong analytical capabilities, excellent vendor management skills, and experience building scalable systems in a fast-paced fashion environment.
Key Responsibilities
Order \& Document Management
- Manage sales order acquisition, validation (quantities and pricing), and upload into ERP.
- Validate ERP-generated shipping and invoicing documents, including commercial invoices and sales invoices.
- Oversee operational setup and execution of EDI flows, particularly orders, ASNs, and invoicing.
- Handle international key account orders, invoicing, and the use of customer logistics portals.
Logistics Operations
- Coordinate end-to-end product flow for wholesale, retail, and ecommerce channels.
- Ensure timely inbound and outbound shipments, customs clearance, and delivery to distribution centers and stores.
- Monitor and direct the activities of third-party logistics (3PL) partners and freight forwarders.
- Control and optimize logistics costs across all distribution channels.
- Measure and report on 3PL and freight forwarder performance against service-level agreements (SLAs).
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate, real-time visibility of inventory levels across all channels.
- Proactively monitor inventory data, recognizing that the current 3PL ERP system lacks robust capabilities in this area.
- Conduct frequent reconciliations between ERP, WMS, and physical counts to ensure accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies quickly and work cross-functionally to resolve issues before they impact sales or customer experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head of Ecommerce, Store Manager, and Head of Wholesale to align logistics execution with sales and merchandising priorities.
- Partner with planning, allocation, and production teams to anticipate volume needs and mitigate supply chain bottlenecks.
Strategic Initiatives
- Evaluate and optimize current logistics processes to support business growth.
- Contribute to long-term logistics strategy, including selection and negotiation of 3PL partners, transportation vendors, and technology solutions.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service levels.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
- Strong background managing 3PL relationships and multi-channel distribution in fashion, apparel, or related consumer products.
- Experience with ERP systems, EDI flows (orders, ASN, invoicing), and customer logistics portals.
- Proven track record in inventory management, with the ability to maintain accuracy when systems require constant monitoring and manual oversight.
- Advanced technology skills, particularly with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros preferred).
- Proven track record of delivering results in small-to-mid-sized brand environments, where agility and hands-on problem-solving are key.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage external vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Based in New York, NY and able to work on-site at headquarters.
