ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Experience Designer to support and evolve our design system while partnering closely with product, engineering, and accessibility teams. This role blends UI/UX design, systems thinking, and collaboration to ensure consistent, scalable, and accessible digital experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain design system documentation, including visuals and guidelines
• Design, build, test, and refine Figma components and libraries
• Develop detailed developer specifications for design implementation
• Partner with engineering to design and validate Angular components
• Collaborate with content and accessibility (ADA) teams to ensure inclusive design standards
• Conduct competitive analysis and stay current with industry design system trends
• Support internal users by responding to design system inquiries and help desk requests
• Lead or participate in office hours, design reviews, and governance meetings
• Facilitate cross-team working sessions to drive alignment across product design teams
• Research, audit, and prepare materials for design system governance discussions
• Contribute to special projects as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience working with or contributing to a design system
• Strong proficiency in Figma, including component creation and management
• Solid foundation in UI/UX and product design principles
• Experience designing for mobile-native applications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to present, facilitate discussions, and influence stakeholders
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• Systems-thinking mindset

PREFERRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS

• Experience building or maintaining design systems at scale
• Familiarity with component libraries and reusable design patterns
