DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer
NYC - Onsite
A well-funded, early-stage startup building a high-scale social platform from the ground up. They they’re hiring a DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to help build and operate the systems that power production.
This is a hands-on role focused on reliability, automation, and developer velocity - working across AWS, Kubernetes, and modern infrastructure tooling in a fast-moving environment.
What you’ll work on
- Build and operate production infrastructure across AWS and Kubernetes (EKS)
- Own and evolve Terraform-based infrastructure
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and release safety
- Design and maintain observability systems (metrics, logs, tracing, alerting)
- Improve system reliability, uptime, and incident response
- Automate infrastructure and reduce manual operational overhead
- Partner closely with engineers to improve developer experience and platform tooling
About you
- Experience operating production systems using AWS \+ Kubernetes
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (or similar IaC)
- Background in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.)
- Proven ability to support systems with a focus on reliability and performance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
Nice to have
- Experience with ArgoCD, Flux, GitHub Actions, or Buildkite
- Exposure to high-scale consumer or real-time systems
- Strong debugging skills across infra, networking, and application layers
