About The Role…

Are you an experienced content professional with a passion for storytelling, publishing and creating engaging content across multiple channels?

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is seeking a creative and highly organised Content Manager \& Editor to develop and deliver content strategies that support the diverse range of RAS businesses, brands and audiences.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end planning, creation, editing and delivery of content across a wide variety of traditional and digital platforms, including publications, websites, marketing communications, social media, annual reports and event collateral.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to identify content opportunities, develop compelling stories and ensure a consistent brand voice across all communications. The role will also oversee photography and videography projects, manage content calendars and contribute to marketing campaigns that support business objectives.

Beyond content creation, you will provide strategic advice on content marketing initiatives, monitor performance and identify opportunities to enhance audience engagement across the RAS portfolio.

About You…

You are an experienced content and communications professional with strong writing, editing and storytelling skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and can confidently manage multiple projects from concept through to publication.

You are highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about producing engaging content that delivers meaningful outcomes for audiences and the organisation.

To Be Successful, You Will Demonstrate

  • Proven experience (5\+ years) in journalism, publishing, content management, communications or a related field
  • Exceptional copywriting, editing and proofreading skills across both short- and long-form content
  • Experience developing and executing content strategies and content marketing plans
  • Strong understanding of digital content, website publishing and content optimisation best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and competing priorities
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Experience coordinating photography and videography projects from briefing through to delivery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism or a related discipline
  • Experience within agriculture, events, membership organisations or not-for-profit sectors
  • Familiarity with content management systems and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience supporting large-scale events or multi-brand organisations
