Position Overview
The Marketing Analyst will play a critical role in driving retail growth and ensuring strong in-store performance across all retail partners. This position is highly focused on monitoring and improving Units Per Store Per Week (UPSPW), identifying sales trends, analyzing promotional effectiveness, and proactively uncovering opportunities or concerns before they impact the business.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, naturally curious, proactive, and comfortable digging into data to identify patterns, risks, and growth opportunities. Retail sales performance is the top priority for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze retail sales performance with a strong focus on increasing Units Per Store Per Week (UPSPW) across all retail accounts
- Proactively identify declining trends, underperforming SKUs, distribution gaps, inventory concerns, promotional inefficiencies, or other risks impacting retail growth
- Research and highlight concerns, opportunities, and business risks before they become larger issues
- Analyze retail data to uncover actionable insights that improve sales velocity, distribution, promotional effectiveness, and overall account performance
- Track and report on KPIs including UPSPW, ACV distribution, sales velocity, ROAS, CTR, conversion rates, retail media performance, and ecommerce trends
- Develop dashboards and recurring reports using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Analyze marketing campaign performance across Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon, Walmart Connect, and Target Roundel
- Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions, scan-downs, digital campaigns, influencer activations, and retail media support
- Support retail line reviews, category reviews, retailer presentations, and sales forecasting initiatives
- Monitor competitive activity, pricing, assortment trends, innovation launches, and category movement
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and external retail brokers to support strategic growth initiatives
- Analyze ecommerce performance across Shopify, Amazon, Walmart.com, and Target.com
- Assist with identifying whitespace opportunities and new areas for retail growth
- Improve reporting automation, data accuracy, and internal visibility into retail performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in marketing analytics, sales analytics, trade marketing, ecommerce analytics, or CPG analytics preferred
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics, Shopify analytics, Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, SPINS, Nielsen, Circana/IRI, or retail media platforms is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify trends, anomalies, and business risks quickly
- Proactive, self-motivated, and naturally curious with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience in CPG, food \& beverage, retail, or ecommerce industries preferred

Compensation \& Schedule:
- Salary range:
$65,000 – $85,000
depending on experience, plus annual bonus
- Office hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM \| Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
